Chapter 289 - A Speedtype Jugo
"Good Luck, Jugo! Finish it quickly!" The Encan girl Rei-Rei, who just finished her match, shouted to the person with wolf ears.
"Don\'t worry, it won\'t take a second," Jugo replied to Rei-Rei. Like her, he was a beastman too. The two of them were part of the same party and also part of the elite class. "I... will be the fastest participant to beat his opponent in this competition, hehe!" Jugo declared as he walked in front of his opponent,
Jugo remembered that this opponent was the weakest student in this Academy.
Although he defeated his opponent in the first round of elimination, it wasn\'t enough to prove his strength. Also, his enemy was not even part of the elite class.
Jugo scoffed..
"Finally, it\'s Jugo\'s time to stun all," said a male with a pair of rabbit ears.
"But look at his disappointed face," another person from the beastmen party interjected. It was a female student with a pair of raccoon ears and also part of the elite class.
"Haha, he\'s disappointed that it isn\'t Kiko, the opponent he is facing, Sonya."
"You\'re right, Miss Rei-Rei."
"Heh, I will be the one to defeat that Kiko. He was so lucky that we didn\'t face each other today," another guy with a pair of wolf ears said with a glint in his eyes.
"Fufu, chillax, Klein. There\'s another time, " Said Sonya. "Regardless, Miss Rei-Rei, can you beat that Almina?"
Upon hearing it, Rei-Rei glanced at Almina. That girl has currently had her eyes focused on the large monitor.
They didn\'t care about Almina\'s love life. But Rei-Rei disapproved that Almina was considered the most powerful female student in the Academy.
"I will defeat her as long as you defeat that blonde…" replied Rei-Rei.
"Fufu, it\'s a deal then," Sonya giggled.
"Isn\'t this round a bit lacking in action compared to yesterday? We couldn\'t even see a real fight. Those guys in Elite class ended their opponents in a single strike. Although the audience liked it, most of the VIPs seemed to find it boring to watch." Principal Mar felt troubled after Principal Kim mentioned it.
He was right. Since the VIPs much like watching a heated fight than a boring fight that ended in just a few seconds. Principal Mar felt he made a big mistake for not warning those guys to showcase each talent. In this case, the VIPs would think that only the students in the elite class were worth watching. In this regard, this whole competition would become useless if they failed to get at least one sponsor.
On top of it, there was only one pair left! And that last pair was against a Demihuman from the elite class! And his opponent-- \'Oh, no! It\'s him. He was the student who was reported as the weakest student among the trainees this year.\' A bead of sweat trailed down principal Mar\'s face after seeing that it was Yman.
"Miss Aurellia, from which class that student belonged?" Principal Mar whispered to Miss Aurellia, who was currently sitting beside him as his Secretary.
Seeing the principal pointed to a human contestant on the stage, Miss Aurellia quickly scanned the tablet in her hands. It didn\'t take long for her to find Yman\'s details.
"Class D, from Teacher Pai\'s class, " she replied to the Principal.
The Principal showed a grim expression upon hearing it. All the hope seemed to leave him.
Although that student managed to show a good fight in his recent match, it was different against those students from the elite.
He should have warned the elites not to be so excessive against the lower class. When Principal Mar glanced at the bored faces of the VIPs, he wanted to run to the stage and advise the half-beast half-human student to give pity to his opponent to prolong the fight even for a little.
"Kukuku," seeing the pitiful expression of Principal Mar, Principal Kim chuckled. "Are you okay, Principal Mar?" He asked, trying to sound worried. But the scornful expression on his face betrayed it.
"Y-Yeah, I am. Ahaha…" Principal Mar forced a laugh.
He could only grit his teeth and pray that Yman would last a little longer. If the fight ended sooner, then it would become a worthless promotion, and probably the VIPs would start to leave tomorrow.
Not far from them, "That\'s him, right?" Sunday asked Jack.
"Yes, that\'s him. The student who I failed to gather his information," said Jack dejectedly.
"Don\'t get disappointed in yourself; Regardless, he is not part of the elites?" Sunday said, a little surprised.
Jack stared at her with a puzzle and a surprised expression on his face. "H-How did you know he wasn\'t part of the elites?"
"Look at the profile of him on the screen. The elites have that elite badge on their picture. His enemy has it too," Sunday pointed.
"Oh, you\'re right."
Jack never noticed that it was there. "So, his enemy is from the elite class? And he\'s not?" Jack muttered.
"Fufu, so another worthless fight," suddenly, a person from their back interjected.
When they glanced behind them, they saw a man in his 30s. This man was the popular youngest senator.
"Senator Bajj!" Jack exclaimed inwardly
On the audience podium, the onlookers were shouting for a fast defeat. The ordinary audience had a different perspective than the VIPs. After all, the VIPs wanted a fighter that was worth investing in, not just for entertaining.
That\'s why they rather saw a fight in which everyone showcased their talents. Not the type of one strike one kill type of battle. They couldn\'t gauge their skills in this kind of match.
Yman was facing the human with a pair of wolf ears. The person was staring at him with a dejected face.
It was easy to tell that he was looking down at him. In the waiting hall, Kiko couldn\'t hold his chuckle. Although he wanted to be the one to crush that hated guy, it also good to see Yman getting beaten by a-- nobody, especially in front of Almina.
He wondered what Almina would feel, later on, when that person gets beaten by a dog.
"Hehehe…" Kiko laughed secretly. Then, focused his attention on the screen.
"Will Bro Yman be alright?" Bob asked worriedly.
"He won\'t be alright," unexpectedly, it was the blonde who replied to him. Bob wondered when Yman became acquainted with this pretty snobby blonde. Aside from Almina and Keremi, he never saw this blonde talk with anyone else. But, a while ago, she often talks with his best friend. On top of that, his best friend got a free legendary hug from Miss Almina! What a lucky man!
While Bob was mulling in envy, Maena continued saying, "Especially that beast-man... he\'s a speed type. Among the elites…" she paused for a moment and glanced at Almina. Then she sighed. Bob wondered what with that sigh. "Only Almina could compete with him…" Maena ended her words with a poker face.
\'Ahaha… If it pained you to say it, better shut your mouth, you know,\' Bob thought. Although he was the type of person who wasn\'t minding his words, there was a rare occasion that he would rather not voice out his thoughts as he could feel his life ending if voice it.
Regardless, after hearing the blonde\'s words, Bob and the others thought Yman was in a bad situation. After all, no one among them forgot his deal with Kiko. Even the always cool-looking Almina was clamping her hands, like praying, as she was gazing at the large screen. Her face showed a worried expression.
"W-Well, let\'s just pray he wouldn\'t end up dying in a second, hahaha…" Bob forced a laugh. He also prayed that his friend would last a little longer and not be the one who gets defeated in the shortest time.
No one replied at him, probably tense at the coming fight.
While everyone was tense at the coming battle, the referee, Instructor Goki, stepped to the center.
"Start!"
He shouted to start the fight.
After hearing the signal, Jugo\'s figure disappeared on his position.
An upgraded version of Rapid Leap?! Everyone was surprised.
