Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner

Chapter 145 Richard's Real Identity

After 4 years of faithful service in his regiment, Richard Keane was finally able to fulfill his dream as he worked his way up all the way to promotion.

He was about to be made a Captain of the Pugilist Army.

Alongside the other warriors who impressed enough for a promotion, they sat in a room dressed in the iconic grey military uniform of the Pugilist Army.

Without even looking, the loud noise already told them of the boisterous atmosphere that was outside. And when they looked through the windows, their breath was stolen by the sheer number of spectators who came to celebrate them.

The promotion ceremony eclipsed the graduation ceremony for the students, 70% of the spectators who were here came to see them.

As Richard looked, a look of contentment came over his face.

For the past 4 years, despite the riches of his father, the wealthy merchant Keane, he never felt satisfied, he only felt satisfied when exposed to war and chaos.

To fulfill his dreams, he sacrificed and abandoned everything, his inheritance, his family, he abandoned everything just to pursue his dreams.

And after 4 years, he was finally reaping his rewards.

The noise exploded louder all of a sudden and when he looked alongside the other soldiers, he felt his breath temporarily seize on seeing the iconic bald head, the Grandmaster and leader of the Pugilist Academy, Jon Stones.

This man was already over a hundred years old but his face nor his physique showed it, he still looked like a middle-aged man that was in his prime.

This man was the strongest Pugilist in Planet Darvis.

At a young age, he was rumored to lose all his hair due to too much training.

The soldiers would have the privilege of receiving their new ranks from this legend of the Pugilist Academy, they all stood up as they were finally summoned.

Alongside the others, Richard went outside and stood before the spectators inside the large coliseum where the promotion ceremony was held.

The bald-haired man took centerstage and addressed the soldiers. "Congratulations to all 20 of you for making the benchmark to be promoted".

"For 4 years, the Pugilist Academy saw your contributions to making our planet and the academy better and we recognize it".

"Today, on this pinning ceremony, your efforts are rewarded".

"Even as you obtain your new ranks, do not forget the motto of the Pugilist Academy". With a serious look on his face, this man placed a hand to his chest. "Breaking the limits of physical strength is our goal".

He grinned. "Never stop working hard".

Then he laughed as he proudly rubbed his bald head. "My head is proof of hard work, there\'s nothing on this planet that my head can\'t smash through".

"Remember, if you work hard in training, fighting is easy".

As soon as he finished his little motivational speech to the 20 soldiers, the chosen candidates who would pin the soldiers with their new ranks came forward.

Most of the candidates were close companions to the soldiers, mostly family. Only Richard\'s was different, he never told his family about his promotion.

His assistant in the army whose job was similar to a squire of the medieval age came forward as he helped his superior pin the rank to his uniform.

After that, celebrations started.

2 hours later, as the celebrations continued, Richard excused himself after drinking too much as he seemed to walk towards a random destination.

To others, he was walking randomly and this enabled him to smoothly evade suspicion. A few minutes later, with his new rank and the authority that followed it, he was able to enter a restricted area of the army headquarters.

As soon as he entered inside, Richard wore a special cloak which turned him invisible. In this state, he was able to bypass all security to access the core library of the army.

In there, Richard soon found what he wanted.

He saw a massive book with an eye-catching title.

>Records of Orc Civilization<

His eyes gleamed sharply as he saw this book, picking a book from its spot for a long period would trigger an alarm so he started flipping through it there.

8 minutes later, he found the page and line that he was looking for.

>After the 2nd Cataclysm, all super life was wiped away from the planet<

>Through the records of the Orc Civilization, we attained super energy<

>We also discovered the location of the coordinates of the Western energy node of the planet core where the Orc drew their energy from<

Richard\'s eyes narrowed as he saw this.

>The coordinates was located right under our nose<

>It is located in…<

Clang!

The door to the library opened as Richard\'s nerves tightened.

Putting faith in his invisible state, as carefully as he could, he flipped the page over and read the last and most important line that he needed.

>It is located in the Orc tower, they used it to harness its energy<

Thud! Thud!

Richard rolled as silently as he could into a hiding place before ducking. He bid his time for 25 minutes until the librarians left, this was when he finally left his hiding spot as he escaped out of the library.

On getting to his room, Richard drew a circular occultic drawing on the ground before sitting down cross-legged in its center.

He cut his wrist with a knife and dripped his blood on the circular drawing.

The blood sizzled the next moment as he closed his eyes.

"Clown the Almighty, I have fulfilled my mission".

"It is located in the Orc tower".

With his eyes still tightly closed, he waited.

5 minutes later, a voice whispered into his ears. "Good job…"

"Stay in their ranks and infiltrate deeper, when the time comes for us to take over everything and build the order of chaos, we will need your help".

Richard clasped his hands. "It is an honor to serve the order of chaos".
