Rise of the Crusader

Chapter 87

In the middle of the sea, a blue ship could be seen moving at a steady pace. And inside the blue ship were five figures.

The five people were Devon, Vincent, Aliyah, Dwayne, and Raphael. When Devon heard Vincent, he nodded his head a couple of times and heaved a deep breath.

“I say we turn back, we have been moving for hours, and there has not been any trace of ship or people around. This seems like a waste of time to be sincere.” Dwayne’s voice suddenly rang out.

Dwayne could see the change in Devon’s expression after he spoke, and he shook his head. “How are we so certain that they haven’t moved away from the sea?”

“We have just been moving blindly the entire time, which is quite annoying.” Dwayne paused, “We were meant to make inquires on this before even moving.”

While Devon was discontented with the words which were spoken by Dwayne, he knew that Dwayne wasn’t entirely wrong. They had been moving for a very long time, and they hadn’t seen anyone yet.

If Devon didn’t possess an eidetic memory, he would have doubted himself. But with the kind of brain he possessed, he was certain that this was the route they had taken.

Suddenly, Raphael shook his shoulder. He kept on repeating his action until the owl that was on his shoulder opened its eyes.

.....

Gus stared at Raphael seemingly displeased, and after a few seconds of the both of them staring at one another, and a little of head shaking from Raphael, Gus flew from his shoulder.

Gus flew to the sky, and it then moved across the area. Its huge eyes were scanning the whole place, and after a while, Gus came back to Raphael’s hand as he raised them gently.

Gus glared at the four people who were staring at him before shifting it gaze to Raphael. There were no actual words from Gus, apart from it snorting and then hissing a couple of times.

Gus then turned its head slightly, and after receiving a nod from Raphael, it flew back to his shoulder and closed its eyes.

Everyone on the ship was staring at Raphael, including Vincent. They seemed to be expecting a feedback from him but instead, they didn’t get a word out of Raphael, as he kept a straight face.

Raphael turned towards Devon, who tapped him on the shoulder and then raised an eyebrow. He took a deep breath and said, “We are on the right path. We should be seeing the ship soon enough.” Raphael muttered.

A smile appeared on Devon’s face when he heard Raphael.

Raphael and the group continued to move forward, and throughout the entire time, Raphael couldn’t help but notice Vincent staring at him.

While there was no dubious intent in his gaze, Raphael still remained extremely vigilant. He was already prepared for any sort of scenario that might occur and even Gus who was on his shoulder was just as ready.

“That is the ship!!!!” Devon suddenly yelled as he saw the ship a few meters away from him.

And a second after Devon spoke, he quickly covered his mouth with his hand. Devon stared at Aliyah, with panic written all over his face, and then quickly moved his gaze from her.

“No one is to make a move unless I ask you to do so. Is that clear?” Vincent glanced at the four on the ship when he spoke.

While there was no response from any of them, they were a nod of head from one of them. Vincent then cracked his knuckles and increased the acceleration of the ship.

.....

“Boss, we have-” The curly-haired man wasn’t able to complete his words as the man in front of him waved his hand at him.

“I have seen them already.” Metal man lowered the telescope in his hand, and a smile appeared on his face. He turned towards the curly-haired man and said, “Have you been able to contact the heroes league?”

The curly-haired man shook his head when he heard metal man.

“It’s still unreachable. I can’t also reach anyone, both in the academy and the heroes league.” He said. “I’m afraid we are going to deal with this on our own.” There was a bit of worry on his face when he thought of going to combat with those people.

Even though the government had sealed any details of that organization from the public, the people who had been around for a long time knew of their existence.

A force that does not adhere to any limits or ethics when executing their atrocious acts. The power they were also said to possess was unfathomable to the extent that they were able to have the entire world on their toes.

As for metal man, a light frown appeared on his face when he heard that they weren’t able to contact the league and the academy. However, the frown soon turned into a smile after a few seconds.

“Go bring those two forward, and have everyone on the ship prepared.” Metal man said.

With a nod of his head, the man went over to the people on the ship. He spoke a few words to them, and without any delay, everyone assumed position both in and out of the ship.

It only then took a few minutes and a ship appeared close to them. Both parties stared at one another, with a few of them excluding killing intent from their bodies.

Once the ship was close to one another, Vincent moved. He took a step forward, and he appeared on the ship immediately.

Raphael, Devon, Aliyah, and Dwayne also moved a few seconds after.

When the five of them stepped on the white ship, about five men immediately sealed off the entrance. They stood in front of the entrance with their hands folded across their chest.

“Move!” One of the men exclaimed in an icy tone.

On the ship and in front of Vincent and the others were Sylvia and Xavier. The both of them were tied up to a chair, and their mouths were also sealed.

“Hmm...” Xavier mumbled through the black tape that was on his mouth. However, because of the tape, it was difficult to discern what he was saying.

Vincent took his eyes away from Xavier and moved them to the man in front of him. The both of them seized each other for a few seconds and after a brief moment, Vincent spoke.

“I have heard a lot about you, metal man.” Vincent paused, “Or should I say, Luther Fernandez,” Vincent said.

Luther’s mouth opened slightly, clearly, he hadn’t been expecting Vincent knew his real name and surname. And when Vincent spoke, he seemed to place more emphasis on his surname, so Luther very much got the message.

“I see that you are going straight to threat, it’s-” Before Luther could complete his words, Vincent’s voice rang out.

“Yes, I am. I’m not one to beat around the bush.”

“Look, this is how it will go. If you want a battle, then a battle you will get. Vincent said, “But if I were I would avoid that because you would only be ending your legacy that way.”

“There’s a way we can settle this fairly, and everybody will get what they want,” Vincent mumbled.
