Chapter 138 - Spatial Limitations
\'Perhaps…\'
Instead of being disappointed, Leo\'s right eyebrow was raised in interest. He went out again and repeated his action, not changing a single bit of the process.
"It\'s indeed \'my\' reading space!"
Looking at the bed before him, Leo understood the core of the matter. Everything within the Reading Space seemed to be tied to his will, the only difference between his earlier attempts was that he had desired to take the bed with him in the latter!
Although the bed wasn\'t sufficient to test the limit of the size he could transfer, Leo felt that it was unlikely for his ability to be unlimited. The process might have even been successful because of the familiarity he had with it, or even due to its status as his \'property\'.
"Lastly… Where is it?"
There were more things that Leo wanted to figure out, but there was only one more urgent test that he had to make. Thinking about how he should go about it, Leo finally remembered his forgotten \'companion\'.
"Ah, here it is."
After searching the desk beside his bed, Leo let out a sigh of relief as he picked up his phone. His long-term stay in a fantasy world had almost made him forget the existence of technology, even the first thing his hand touched in the morning to check for chapter updates no longer felt that familiar…
"This should work."
Leo\'s melancholy over the side-effects of his \'True Reading\' experience only lasted for a few seconds, he quickly found something to lean the smartphone on before opening the camera. He naturally needed to understand the nature of this \'teleportation\'!
In many novels he had read, protagonists had all kinds of storage tools whether that be spatial rings, cosmic pouches, endless bags, or any other form. The owner of the item would usually send his \'sense\' inside to pick or store what he wanted, in some cases, this \'sense\' of theirs would be the same as their bodies, that exactly was what Leo wanted to confirm.
Did his body completely \'teleport\' into his Reading Space? Or was it just too realistic that he believed it to be so?
"Test number one."
Smiling in the face of the camera after turning on video mode, Leo\'s thoughts drifted towards the Reading Space. Finding himself back inside, He only took a quick look around to waste some time before flashing away.
"Let\'s see…"
Ending the video recording, Leo quickly opened the gallery and clicked at it to play. Rather than speeding forward, he expectantly stared at his figure moving away from the phone. Finding out the unknown was exciting, but it was the process of doing so that decided the degree of excitement!
"Real teleportation!"
His smile barely appeared on the phone\'s screen before his figure vanished! The process was so clean that it looked like he was taken out of the video through editing!
A few seconds later, his figure appeared on the phone\'s screen again, slowly making his way to pick up the phone. It was a simple video, but it recorded the actual breaking of space rules! Whatever doubts Leo had about his ability\'s existence almost completely vanished! If he wasn\'t simply insane then his identity as a special person had directly evolved to that of a true supernatural!
"This is… also a limitation."
Even in the midst of his excitement brought by this revelation, Leo didn\'t forget to do a mini-test. He tried picturing a golden coin in his hand, and he also tried thinking about sending just his consciousness in, but both attempts resulted in nothing. He had obtained his very own \'Spatial Storage\', but he also had to rely on his own hands whenever he wanted to take items in or out.
In a sense, this ability wasn\'t merely a storage room, but something much more complicated. It had the ability to save Leo\'s life, but it could also put him in the face of danger. Before becoming perfectly capable of controlling this \'Reading Space\', he couldn\'t carelessly use this spatial ability outside of his room.
"Huuu…"
Leo let out a long breath, sitting down on the bed instead of flashing back. Even when considering its limitations, this was still an incredible ability! Rather than being disappointed, Leo was very satisfied with how this branch ability operated. If only the books inside were new ones, then that would be basically his earthly paradise!
"Seems like I\'m still stuck in fantasy."
Sensing the obedient Sword Breath within, Leo couldn\'t help missing his body as Arthur. He was someone that reached the pinnacle of the path and even pierced through it. Now, however, he was back to his very first steps. It was still better than starting over, but being stuck as a newbie Sword Master wasn\'t much better.
Shshhhis…
Rolling back his sleeve, Leo consoled himself with the sight of hand\'s reformation. Regardless of his grade, he was still a living weapon with more than enough fuel. Guns made it impossible to be a one-man army, but he was basically a perfect assassin.
"...Too much edginess."
Pushing away the chuunibyou that wanted to \'arise\' in him, Leo called out his \'Personal Book\', staring at the updated zeroth page with a silly smile.
